Hi,
MickK on the "endless sphere" forum thought he had a problem with his but he had clicked the "disable throttle" switch inadvertantly - could that be the problem? I presume if you are getting 3 LEDs of power on the power meter the battery etc are all working good.

A few days later and I have changed the rear tyre as well, this was a fair bit trickier due to the gears and the having to leave the power cable connected, but still not as hard as I expected.

good to hear the all V brake model works well!
yeah after looking at DIY ebike stuff it is apparent that the battery is one of the major expenses for an ebike. the tech seems to be improving and evolving however.

I have purchase one of these bikes with the v brake not the disc and i can say that the stopping power is very good, i ride the easter freeway bike link to the city for work and the is a couple of massive hills around the tunnel entrance, never had any problems with stopping the bike.

i looked at purchasing the 13ah batt as a 2nd batt........but way way to expensive...over half the price of the bike

I had a quick poke around and saw some info here:
http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/1734-why-cant-you-derestrict-whisper-905e.html
which seems to illustrate the process.
The Greenewheels it may have a different controller than the wisper.. or not.. they are similar, but not the same bikes.
I guess the solution is to open up the controller and see if it does match the photos from that site.
